About the Artist...

Seth Clottey lives and works in Accra, Ghana. He was born in La in 1962 and attended Ghanatta College of Art in Accra. He has been practicing his painting since his graduation in 1981. Clottey is a member of Practicing Artists International (Paint).
His paintings encompass a wide range of subjects from market scenes through beaches and landscapes to City-Scapes and Ghetto like deprivations. An overriding display of passion and commitment expand throughout his works rarely evident among young people. He shows the promise of the future made certain. As an artist, he has a truly made a significant contribution to art, always demonstrating an unwillingness to copy the popularism or settle for the mundane. Seth is charting for himself and his generation new, challenging standards marking him out as a leading catalyst in the current art world.
He has been involved in several exhibitions including; Solo exhibitions; Art Workshop and Restaurant, Benin 2004; Artists Alliance Gallery, Accra Ghana 2000.
